'Sweet Matter' is based on ancient Sandstone figures found buried in the earth by tribal communities. The use of the figures are unknown. The communities have appropriated these relics for their own worship.
It questions the origin of narratives and how they are coined. And also looks at the boundaries between the real and the fake, and how we can appropriate things to give them meaning. When does something fall from being an illusion to reality? - It has the potential for both.
